SUSTAINABILITY

 

LCA: Driving Towards Carbon Neutral

I contributed key storytelling structure, copywriting, and editing to the Fisker Ocean 2023 Lifecycle Assessment report, demonstrating that the Fisker Ocean had the Lowest Published Carbon Footprint of any electric vehicle in its class.

Sustainability was a founding principle at Fisker, and fundamental to all brand and product messaging.

We kept receipts. Hard data in the Fisker Ocean Lifecycle Assessment about sustainable practices in all five phases of vehicle lifespan was bedrock for our claim to building ”The World’s Most Sustainable Vehicles”.

All decisions in sourcing /supply chain, logistics, manufacturing / paint /assembly, use phase, and end-of-use were made to minimize carbon footprint, by:

  • minimizing energy consumption and fossil-fuel-based energy use, virgin material use, emissions, waste, parts count, and transport;

  • maximizing recycled and bio-based material use, renewable energy use, and product recyclability.

Fisker Lounge Sustainability Stories

Fisker Lounges were designed to inspire visitors to embrace the change to cleaner and more sustainable electric mobility.

Working with the Head of Sustainability and Creative Director, I researched and wrote the sustainability messaging in the Lounges, focusing on recycled materials to support the claim the Fisker Ocean is “The World’s Most Sustainable Vehicle”.
